RESOURCES

Everyone comes to intuitive living at different times and for different reasons. No matter when, or what that is, it's always helpful to have some guidance getting started. I've found that a lot of people come to intuitive living through a certain topic or because they are feeling a certain way. I've linked some started resources to these topics and feelings below. â€‹â€‹

As you begin to explore the topics or take time for intuitive living you'll be amazed to find that the next 'right' thing appears. Or, as the old quote goes: "When the student is ready, the teacher appears."

IMPORTANT NOTE! Everything shared here has been helpful on my own journey, but intuitive living is deeply personal. Take what resonates, leave what doesn't. For so long, we've lived in a world that prizes fitting in above almost everything else. Anyone who looked, lived, worked, or thought differently often got labeled as "strange" or "weird." But this way of thinking is incredibly limiting, both for us and for everyone around us. You might think you're open-minded, but that old programming runs deep. It shows up in those automatic thoughts: "That's not normal," "That's weird," "That shouldn't be allowed." Sound familiar? We all do this. Just because something doesn't feel normal or natural for you doesn't make it wrong for everyone, everywhere. We're all constantly growing and changing. What feels uncomfortable today might feel perfectly right tomorrow. We need to give ourselves and others room to breathe, to grow, to change our minds. When you come across a podcast, article, or idea that makes you want to immediately hit "close," that's okay. Maybe it's just not for you right now. But that doesn't mean it's not exactly what someone else needs to hear. We're not here to police the world or decide what's "normal" for everyone else. Want to take this a step further? Next time you find yourself having a strong reaction against something - labeling it as "woo-woo," "dangerous," or just plain "weird" - pause for a moment. Feel what you're feeling, then get curious: What is it about this thing that's triggering such a strong response in me? You don't have to keep reading or listening, but asking yourself this question will give you much better insight into your own patterns than simply dismissing something as strange. The goal isn't to like everything or agree with everyone. It's to create more space for ourselves to be authentic, and for others to be themselves too, even when that looks different from what we'd choose. After all, there's no such thing as "normal" - there's just us, all trying to figure it out as we go.

BODY IMAGE

  • Too...anything (fat, thin, heavy, flabby, weak)

  • Changes due to puberty, pregnancy, menopause

  • Ugly or abnormal

What you may be feeling:

We've been taught to obsess about our bodies and to compare our bodies to others. We strive to perfect our bodies but we're not even sure what 'perfect' or 'normal' is.

Feel like it's time for a healthier relationship with your body?

BURN-OUT | STRESS

OVERWHELM

What you may be feeling:

As we go through life we can accumulate responsibilities and obligations. We can become overwhelmed by how much there is to do or how we judge ourselves.

Ready to take a step back? Put some of those heavy things down? Get some breathing room?

  • Life is overwhelming and you're stressed all the time.

  • Nothing really seems fun or interesting anymore.

  • You're just going through the motions.

DIRECTION | PURPOSE

  • Just a bit lost or empty.

  • Wondering why you're in your current job / relationship.

  • "There must be more than this!"

What you may be feeling:

When we're little we believe the point of life is growing up. We can adopt others beliefs, goals and purpose as our own. Sometimes though this means we're disconnected from who we truly are and what we truly want.

Feel like it's time to discover your own direction and purpose? Want to feel like you are living for a reason?
